About the Author

I was born in the North of England but I have lived in Northern Italy for a long time where I worked first as a researcher then as a manager in the pharmaceutical industry. I have always been passionate about science in all its forms and over time I have developed an interest in how science can be used to effectively engage English as a second language.

Acknowledgements

The author would like to thank Prof Barbara Poggi at IIS Da Vinci (Civitanova Marche) for suggesting the idea in the first place and all of the teachers and students who I've had the pleasure to work with over the last few years as the project has grown. I've learned so much during this time so thank you!
