The SonS 2017 festival gave me a great opportunity to meet other people involved in the teaching and communication of science and STEM-related subjects. For me, it was a fantastic occasion to talk to others about what they do, get loads of ideas for new things and generally get motivated about doing science in big and small ways.

Overall, I was struck by the buzz and the enthusiasm for the subject and the ingenuity that people showed in the different projects on display at the festival.

The project that Francesca and I presented was highly commended, which was very pleasing. Thanks to Francesca and the students at the Educandato Angeli High School in Verona.

I'd also like to thank the guys in the Italian delegation for their support and I hope that we will be able to meet up again.

Now.... let's see where these new ideas lead.....
